Funnel fixes before funnel fantasies

A practical order for landing and checkout tests when cold traffic is expensive and patience is thin.

Cold traffic punishes vague offers and slow pages before your media buyer ever gets a fair shot. When we audit funnels, we pressure-test in this order:

  1. Above the fold clarity. One promise, one proof, one action. If visitors guess what you sell, you lose.
  2. First-session completion. The path from ad to first value has to work on mobile, throttled, and with ad blockers on.
  3. Instrumentation that matches the story. If the tag plan does not match the user journey, you are optimising noise.
